The total volume of the mixture is 33 liters.
Find the volume of the the constituting milk and water in the mixture:
ratio of milt to water = 7:4
Total of ratio = 7 + 4 = 11
Fraction of milk = 7/11
Fraction of water = 4/11
Amount of milk = 7/11 x 33 = 7 x 3 = 21 liters
Amount of water = 4/11 x 33 = 4 x 3 = 12 liters
When you take out 4 liters from the mixture and replace with milk this will be the new ratio:
(The ration in the mixture remains the same)
33 liters - 4 liters = 29 liters
Find new volume of milk:
7/11 x 29 = 18.45 liters
The quantity of milk in the mixture will be:
18.45 liters + 4 liters = 22.45 liters
Amount of water in the mixture ----> 33 - 22.45 = 10.55 liters
The amount of milk = 22.45 liters
That of water = 10.55 liters
