Step-by-step explanation:

Diluted Milk = 40 kg

Pure Milk = 2/5

Water = ?

So as we know the left one is water only so we will just subtract quantity of diluted and pure milk to know the quantity of left water

40/1 - 2/5

LCM of 1 and 5 is 5

40/1 × 5/5 = 200/5

2/5 × 1/1 = 2/5

200/5 - 2/5 = 198/5

Hence 198/5 is water
