A vessel is completely filled with milk. 27 liters of milk is extracted and replaced with water. The 15 liter mixture is then taken out and the pot is again filled with water. Now the concentration of milk in the mixture becomes 71.11%. What is the capacity of the pet​

m and w respectively.

Initially, m+w=42 ;

Later 6L of mixture was removed then conc. Of milk and water become 6m/7 and 6w/7 respectively.

And 6L of pure water is added.

The conc. of

Milk is 6m/7;

Water is 6w/7 +6;

and 6m/7 +(6w/7 +6)=42;

Given that new conc. Of milk is 30%.

i.e. (6m/7)/42=30/100;

Solving above eqn ,we get m=14.7 L

So, the initial conc. Of milk is =14.7/42

=35%
