A vessel of 120 cm3 contains a certain mass of a gas at 20∘C and 750 torr pressure. The gas was transferred to a vessel of volume 180 cm3. Calculate the pressure of he gas at the same temperature.

Applying Boyle's law.

P 1 V 1 =P 2 V 2

= 120×750=180×P2

= P 2

=500 torr

P1VI= P2V2

P2 = 750

120/180 =500 Torr pressure....
