A vessel of Volume 8×10^-3 meter cube contains an ideal gas at 300K and 200K pa . The gas is allowed to leak till the pressure falls to 125 K pa , Calculate the ammount of Gas leaked .

First of all we assume the Temprature remains Contant .
As the Gas leaks out , the volume also does not change .
The number of moles of gas in the vessel is given by => n = PV/RT
The number of moles in the vessel before leakage is => n1 = P1V/RT
After leakage =>> n2 = P2V/RT
The amount leaked ;
( n1-n2 ) = >> ( P1 - P2 )V ÷ RT
➡ ( 200-125 ) × 10^3 × 8 × 10^-3 ÷ 8.3 × 300
➡➡ 0.247 mole , is the required answer .
