a vibrating body is producing 25 waves in 5 seconds. The distance between a compression and a rarefaction is 20 cm. Calculate the frequency, wavelength and velocity of the waves.

Frequency= 25*5

= 125Hz

Wavelength = 20*2=40 cm

=0.4 m

Velocity of wave = 125*0.4

= 50 m/s

If the vibrating body is producing 25 waves in 5 seconds the ultimate frequency, wavelength and velocity can be calculated by the following formula.25*5 is calculated to get the Frequency then the frequency will be 125.

Then again if we have to calculate the wavelength, then we can calculate as 20*2, so the ultimate wavelength will be 40cm.

Now if we have to calculate the velocity of the body which is in vibrating mode, we can only calculate it as 125*0.4 which is 50m/s.
