Answer: 3 days

Step-by-step explanation: volume of tank = lbh

= 20 × 15 × 6

= 1800 m³

1m³ = 1000 litres

So, 1800m³ = 1800000 litres

Water consumed by 1 person in 1 day = 150 litres

So, 4000 people need = 6000000 litres in one day

So 1800000 litres will last for 3 days

Answer: 3 days

Step by step explanation:

Given,

Quantity of water in tank = (20 ×15×6) = 1800m³

Population of village = 4000

Water required = 150/per head per day

Quantity of water required by the village per day:

                                    = ( 4000 × 150) liters

                                    = 4000×150 ÷ 1000 m³

                                    =  600 m³

No. of days which the water will last

                              = 1800÷600

                              = 3 days

Explanation:

This question can be solved by 2 methods, I have solved this question in very simple way. In this question, There was the Given population and water requires per day.

And, There were a tank, which was wearing of 20 meters, 15 meters and 6 meters. We First find, Quantity of water in tank = (20 ×15×6) = 1800m³.

Then, We find Quantity of water required by the village per day.

= ( 4000 × 150) liters

= 4000×150 ÷ 1000 m³

= 600 m³.

And, Finally we divide it with 600 with 1800. And, we get 3 days.
