Answer:

3000 m²

Step-by-step explanation:

A villager has his field attached to his village which is right triangular in shape of dimensions 130m,120m and 55m. The Gram Panchayat requested him to donate a 5m wide road adjusted to the 120mlong side so that the village can be attached to nearby town. The villager agrees at once. Largest side = Hypotenuse = 130 m

Length  & Base = 120 m & 55 mm

Base² = Hypotenuse²  - Length²

=> Base² = 130² - 120²

=> Base² = (130 + 120)(130-120)

=> Base² = 250 * 10

=> Base = 5 *  10 = 50 m

Dimension given 55 m is wrong & by giving 5m he  will still have 55-5 = 50 m

So he would not loose any thing actually

Length = 120 m  , Base = 50 m

Area = (1/2) * length * Base = (1/2) * 120 * 50 = 3000 m²
