As one tightens an object it's pitch increases.the strings of the violin are attached to the nuts in such a way that when tuning they are twisted and becomes tighter to produce a firm and pitched sound. When loosened it does not have a good melodious song and has a very low pitch

Answer:

Similarly, if the frequency of vibration is small then, the sound produced will have a low pitch.
