Answer:

Last Sunday my parents took me to Anna Centenary Library. I was surprised to see the size of the building. It had seven floors. It was huge and clean. We decided to go to the kids’ section which was in the first floor. I was amazed to see the kids’ section. The entire first floor was full of books for the kids. All I could see was books, books and books. I was very happy. I decided to see around the place and found some fairy tales to read. The books were of good quality and had big print and beautiful pictures. It made reading more interesting. A few kids were moving around the place and some were sitting at the table and reading. Some parents were reading out to their kids. I read some story books and it was time for the library to be closed. The security guard came and blew the whistle and we had to return the books and leave. As I was leaving I decided to visit the library again. My parents promised to make a visit every week. Now I am waiting for my next visit to the library.

I woke up early that morning which was not a usual thing from my side. But that day was something special. My father the previous night had promised me to take me to the the public library nearby. To be honest I had never seen real library apart from the one present in our school. I had often heard people telling me that a library provides an excellent environment for studies. I Gave a jump start to my day, wearing my clothes as soon as possible. Father and I then drove off to the library.

We were about to visit the National library, kolkata (you can add any other name if you want to). As we all know it is a historical place and has a lot of importance till date. It is an open-for-all library and people who visit there belong to all ages. As we reached our destination I realised that I was correct. It was indeed a huge library, with beautiful ceiling frescoes and pillars. There were books for everyone. Mostly there were autobiographies and biographies and books that are mostly required for college students for their reference and writings of great great men about science and philosophy, but the library also had books written by great detective and thriller writers of all time. The library was so cold that it also had pictures of great personalities who had gone there for their own reference (for example Mother Teresa and the great physicist Meghnad Saha who were nobel prize winners). I was absolutely stunned and astounded by the glory of this great library. I spend around one and half hours reading some of my favourite books. The rest of the time I was wandering about this magnificent building.

It was indeed a great day, and I would highly recommended every student to visit the National library, for everyone needs to know about this historic wonder.

Hope this helps
