We need to calculate the retardation of the wagon. Its initial velocity is 9 Km/hr and final is zero. Time taken to stop = 2 min

9 km/hr = 2.5 m/s

2 min = 120 s

v = u + at

a = v - u /t = (0 - 2.5)/120 = -2.5/120 m/s2

Force of retardation = ma = 2000 x 2.5 / 120 = 41.67 N
