A wagon weighing 1000 kg with a velocity 50km/h on smooth horizontal rails. A mass of 250kg is dropped into it .the velocity with which it moves now is​

The mass of the wagon=1000kg

Initial velocity=50km/h

The mass of other object=250kg

The masses will get combined

i.e 1000+250

=1250kg

But as we know that there is no external force acting on it the wagon.

Therefore, the velocity of the wagon will not change and the velocity will remain constant
