Area to be cemented

= Total surface area - area of bottom side

= 2(lb+bh+hl) - hl

= 2(10×1.2 + 1.2×0.2 + 0.2×10) - (0.2×10)

= 2(12+0.24+2) - 2

= 2(14.24) - 2

= 26.48 m sq.

Cost of painting

= Area×Rate

= 26.48 × 25

= 662 Rs
