The answer to your question could be:-

Given,

Wall's length = 8 meters

Wall's breadth = 4 meters

Wallpaper's cost per square meter = 80 Rupees

We need to apply the wallpaper on this wall but this wall also has two windows whose side = 2 meters;

And because we cannot waste our money by avoiding the windows, this could be the solution -

Because area of a rectangle = Length * Breadth

Area of the whole wall (without considering the windows) = 8 * 4

= 24 square meters

Because area of a square = Side by the power of 2

Area of each window = 2 * 2 = 4 square meter

Area of the wall which needs the wallpaper = 24 - (4 + 4) = 24 - 8 = 16 square meters

Cost of putting the wallpaper to the above area = 80 * 16 = 1280 Rupees

Therefore the owner of the house who is considering this upgrade, should have 1280 Rupees in his/her pocket.
