ANSWER:- (B) 80ft 2

EXPLANATION:-

length of rectangular wall= 12ft(given)

breadth of same= 8ft (given)

so, are of rectangle =l x b= 12 x 8= 96ft 2

in question it is given that there is a square window of sige 4ft

so now area of square= a^2= 4 x 4=16

net area= area of wall -area of window = 96ft - 16 ft= 80ft

Answer:

Height of wall, h = 8 ft

Length of wall, l = 12 ft

Area of wall = h × l

                    = 8 × 12 ft^{2}

                    = 96 ft^{2}

Side of square window, s = 4 ft

Area of square window = s × s

                                       = 16 ft^{2}

Thus, surface area of wall = Area of wall - Area of square window

= 96 - 16

= 80 ft^{2}
