Given :

Dimensions of Wall :

  • Length = 10m = 1000cm
  • Thickness = 24cm
  • Height = 4m = 400cm

Dimensions of Brick :

  • Length = 24cm
  • Breadth = 12cm
  • Height = 8cm

 \\

To Find :

  • Number of bricks required to make the wall.

 \\

Solution :

✰ Since the wall with all its bricks makes up the space occupied by it, we need to find the volume of the wall, which is nothing but a cuboid.

⠀⠀

⟼ Volume of Wall = L × thickness × H

⟼ Volume of Wall = 1000 × 24 × 400cm³

⠀⠀

⟼ Volume of Brick = L × B × H

⟼ Volume of Brick = 24 × 12 × 8cm³

⠀⠀

Bricks required for wall :

  • Wall's volume / brick's volume
  • 1000 × 24 × 400 / 24 × 12 × 8
  • 1000 × 400 / 12 × 8
  • 1000 × 50 / 12
  • 50000 / 12
  • 4166.67 { Approx }

Thus , the wall requires 4167 bricks
