DIMENSIONS OF WALL=25m*2m*60cm

THEREFORE VOLUME OF WALL=2500*200*60

=30,00,000cm³

DIMENSIONS OF BRICKS=20*12*8

THEREFORE VOLUME OF EACH BRICK=1920cm³

THEREFORE NUMBER OF BRICKS NEEDED=3000000/1920=300000/192=1562.5

bricks estimate it to 1563.

THEREFORE 1563 BRICKS ARE NEEDED TO MAKE THE WALL .

The number of bricks required to construct the wall is 15625.

Given :

Length of the wall = 25m

Width of the wall = 60cm

Height of the wall = 2m

Length of the Brick = 20cm

Width of the Brick = 12cm

Height of the Brick = 8cm

To Find :

The number of bricks needed to construct the wall

Solution :

Formula to calculate volume of a cuboid of length L, Width B and height H,

Volume = L * B * H

Volume of Wall (Vw) = Length of wall * Width of wall * Height of wall

                                  = 25m * 60cm * 2m

                                  = 2500cm * 60cm * 200cm

                                  = 300 * 10^5 cm^3

Volume of Brick (Vb) = Length of brick * Width of brick * Height of brick

                                  = 20cm * 12cm * 8cm

                                  = 2500cm * 60cm * 200cm

                                  = 1920 cm^3

Number of Bricks required ( n )

= Volume of Wall / Volume of Brick

            = Vw / Vb

            = ( 300 * 10^5 ) / 1920

            = 30000000 / 1920

            = 15625

Hence, the number of bricks required of the given dimension to construct a wall of the given dimension is 15625.
