Step-by-step explanation:

Let convert Rs.50 into paisa.

We know that:-

One rupee=100 paise.

i.e. Rs.50= 50×100=5000paise.

Also lets number of 50 paisa coins=x

Therefore,no. of 25 paisa=3x.

i.e. 25×3x+50x=5000

=75x+50x=5000

=125x=5000

= x = \frac{5000}{125} = 40answer.=x=

125

5000

=40answer.

Therefore,no. of 50 paisa coins=40.

No. of 25 paisa coins=3x=3×40=120.

Check-

0.50×40+0.25×120 = Rs.50

Rs.20+Rs.30 = Rs.50

Rs.50 = Rs.50

L.H.S=R.H.S

Hence,Verified.

Answer:

40

Step-by-step explanation: let no of 25 paise coins be x and 50 paise coins be y

then .25x +.5y = 25

or x+2y = 25/.25 =100

but y = 2x

so 5y = 100

or y=20

so no of 25 paise coins are 20 and 50 paise coins= 20*2 = 40
