A warehouse is used as a granary. It is in the shape of a cuboid surmounted by half-cylinder. The base of ware house is 6m x 14m and its height is 8m. Find the surface area of the non cuboidal part of the ware house.

The dimensions of the base :  6 m X 14 m
Total height is 8m at the center of the warehouse. The ceiling of the warehouse is a half-cylindrical surface. It is curved like a dome.

Diameter of the cylindrical surface = 6 m
Height of the cylindrical part of the height (ceiling) = 3 m
Height of the walls (side) of warehouse = 8 m - 3 = 5 m

Cuboidal part of warehouse = 6 m X 14 m  X 5m

Non cuboidal part = half cylinder, of radius 3 m and length = 14 m

Non Cuboidal Surface area = curved + flat area
                      = 22/7 * 3 * 14 + 2 * 22/7 * 3²/2   m²
                      = 132 + 198/7 = 160.285  m²
