Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given A watch company owns two factories namely fa and fb. 60% of the watches are manufactured at fa. 15% of the watches manufactured at fb and 10% made at fa are defective. On what probability can you tell that a particular defective watch was made at fb?

Now total watches is 100

So watch made at f a is 60 and at f b is 40

Now defective watch f b = 40 x 0.15 = 6 and f a = 60 x 0.10 = 6

So defective watch fb = 6/100 = 0.06

Now total defective watches is 6 + 6 = 12

According to question defective watch to be selected will be 6/12 = 0.5
