Answer:

Incorrect watch will show 11:38pm at 11pm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

A watch which gain 8 seconds in 4 minutes and was set right at 4am.

Need To Find:

We are asked to find out time at which it show at 11 pm on the same day.

Solution:

According to question,

It gains 8 Seconds in 4 Minutes

Extra time it gains in one hour = \frac{60}{4}\times8 = 120 seconds

which mean it gains 120 Seconds in one hour.

Also, it was set right at 4AM.

So,

Hours between 4AM to 11PM (on the same day) = 19 hours

So, total seconds gain in 19 hours = 19 × 120 = 2280 Seconds.

Now, 2280 Seconds = 38 Minutes( i.e 2280/60)

Hence, incorrect watch will show 11:38PM at 11PM.
