Answer:

Watch purchased for = Rs 167

» Cost price (C.P) = Rs 167

It was sold for. = Rs 180

» selling price (S.P) = Rs 180

To find whether profit or loss happened.

● if S.P is greater than C.P it is known as profit

● if C.P is greater than S.P it is known as loss

Here in this situation it is very clear that selling price if S.P (180)is greater than cost price C.P (167) .Hence it is a profit deal.

profit = S.P - c.p

» = 180 - 167

= 13

Hence profit of 13 rupees has happened.

watch purchased(c.p) at = 167rs

watch sold at(s.p) = 180rs

it is a profit

profit = selling price - purchased price (cost price)

profit = 180rs - 167rs

profit = 13rs
