It is told that 6% profit = 6% loss + 870
Let cp = x
So 6% loss
6=x-sp/sp *100 (formula for loss%)
So sp=94x/100
Similarly sp when profit=106x/100
From above equation,
106x/100 = 94x/100 + 870
Find x to get cp.
