X can be any carbonate salt except that of sodium, potassium and ammonium.

For example, let X be Calcium carbonate. The reaction is:
CaCO3 + HCl ---------> CaCl2 + H2O + CO2
CO2 is a colourless and odourless gas and it comes out, bubbling (brisk effervescence is seen)

Answer:

x=CaCo3

Explanation:

as calcium carbonate is a precipitate (insoluble salt) and on reacting with hydrochloric acid it forms=

CaCo3 + HCl = CaCl2 + H2O + CO2

(metal carbonate + acid = salt + water + carbon dioxide)

the gas released which is CO2 is colourless and odouless accompanied by a brisk effervescence ( will form bubbles)

I hope it helps
