Step-by-step explanation:

It is in Inverse proportion.

First we will convert hour into minutes.

1 hour 40 minutes=60+40

=100 minutes (because

1 hour =60 minutes)

3/10 of 300 = 90 litres

x1 =300 litres , x2=90 litres

y1=100 minutes, y2=y

By formula,

300×100=90y

y=(300×100)/90

y =333.33 minutes.

1 whole of the tank can be filled in 1 hour 40 minutes, that is 10/10 of the tank can be filled in an hour and 40 minutes.

1 hour = 60 minutes

Therefore,

1 hour 40 minutes = 60 + 40 = 100 minutes.

10/10 of the tank can be filled in 100 minutes.

Therefore,

For 3/10 of the tank,

= (3/10) x 100

= 3 x 10

= 30

So, it will take 30 minutes to fill 3/10 of the tank.
