Potential energy = mgh

→ m = 6kg

→ g = 10 m/s

→ h = 36m.

PE = mgh

= 6×10×36

= 2160 Joule

Answer:

Given,

A water pipe can lift 6 kg water per minute

Find,

The potential energy

Explanation:

Take g = 10 m/sec

SOLUTION

m = 6 kg

g = 10 m/sec

h = 36 m

Potential energy or P.E. = mgh

=> 6 kg * 10 m/sec * 36 m

=> 2160 J or 2.16 kJ

Hence,

Potential energy of water stored in the tank is 2.16 kJ
