Given :

  • Rate of water pumping = 4500 litres
  • Time for which the water pump works per day = 6 hours
  • Water pumped in a week = ??

To Find :

The total water pumped in a week

To Be done :

We are given ,

The rate of pumping per hour = 4500 hours

The time for it works every day = 6 hours

So, Firstly we are going to find the water that is pumped every day.

No. of Days in a week = 7

So, we will multiply the result of previous one with seven to get the final answer

Solution :

Water pumped in a day = Rate×time

= 4500 litre/hour × 6 hours

= 4500 litre × 6

= 27000 litres

So, the Pump, pumps 27000 litre in a day

So, water pumped in a day

= 27000 × 7

= 189000 litres

Hence, Water pumped in a week = 1,89,000 litres

Hope it helps you !
