Dear Student,

◆ Answer -

(D) A = 3850 m²

● Explanation -

Velocity of the sprikler is calculated by -

v = 2πr / T

r = vT / 2π

r = 44 × 5 / (2 × 22/7)

r = 35 m

In 5 s, the sprinkler will complete one rotation.

A = πr²

A = (22/7) × 35²

A = 3850 m²

Therefore, area drenched by the sprinkler is 3850 m².

Thanks dear. Hope I was helpful..

Answer:

For this you have to calculate tha radius of the circular area.

For this

we already know that the sprinkler completes one round in 5 sec

so now the parameter of the circular area

2πr = 44 × 5

2πr = 44 × 5 = 220 m

now we can calculate the radius of the circular area

r = 220/2π

r = 110/π

r = 110×7/22

r = 35 m

now we have the radius of the area

Area of that land will be

πr² = 22×(35)²/7

πr² = 22×(35)²/7 = 3850 m²

So the option D is correct.
