Hey mate

here is your answer

let the height of tank be x

 \frac{x}{21} = \frac{9.5}{8} \\ x = \frac{9.5 \times 21}{8} \\ x = \frac{199.5}{8} \\ x = 24.93 \: m

hope it helps you

Answer:

height of the water tank is 28.5m

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the height of the tank be x m

Greater height ➡ Longer shadow, so heights and lengths of shadow are in direct proportion.

Length of shadow Original height

Tank Tree Tank Tree

24 : 8 : : x : 9.5

➡ 24 X 9.5 = 8x

➡x = 24 X 9.5 / 8 = 28.5

HENCE, HEIGHT OF THE WATER TANK IS 28.5m
