Answer:

Answer:

20 hrs.

Explanation:

Given,

4 pipes of same dimensions can fill a water tank in 15 hrs.

If there are 3 pipes instead find how long will it take to fill the tank.

Let's say it will take \boldsymbol xx hrs

Now here, the lesser the pipes the more the time it will take.

Hence it's an inversely proportional.

\therefore \: 4 \times 15 = 3 \times x∴4×15=3×x

Solving for \boldsymbol xx

\implies \: 4 \times 15 = 3 \times x⟹4×15=3×x

\implies \: \dfrac{4 \times 15}{3}= x⟹

3

4×15

=x

\implies \: \dfrac{60}{3}= x⟹

3

60

=x

\implies \: 20 = x⟹20=x

\therefore \boldsymbol{ x = 20}∴x=20

Step-by-step explanation:

hence answer is 20 hrs

hope this will help u army!!

Answer:

4 pipes of same dimensions can fill a water tank in 15 hrs.

If there are 3 pipes instead find how long will it take to fill the tank.

Let's say it will take x hrs

Now here, the lesser the pipes the more the time it will take.

Hence it's an inversely proportional.

.. 4 x 15 = 3 × x

Solving for a

4 x 15 3 = X

4 x 15 = 3 x x 83 60 = x

20 = x

..x = 20

Hence, it will take 20 hrs to fill the water tank.
