40% empty =60% filled

So 60%-40%water=40L

20%=40L

1%=40/20L

1%=2L

Full tank=100%

100%=1%x100

100%=2Lx100

=200L

So full tank=200L

Dear Student,

● Answer -

200 L

● Explaination -

When water tank is 40% is empty, it is 100-40 = 60% full.

Let x be capacity of the water tank.

Now, difference between 60% full and 40% full is -

60% of x - 40% of x = 40 L

x×60/100 - x×40/100 = 40

3x/5 - 2x/5 = 40

x/5 = 40

x = 40 × 5

x = 200 L

Hence, water tank can hold 200 L when it is full.

Thanks dear..
