a water tank was 5 by 8 filled with water 7 by 10 of this water was consumed and then 125 litres of water was added to a filling pipe if the tank was half full then find the capacity of the tank​

Hyy mate here is Ur Answer....

Let the total capacity of the tank be x

5/8 of it is filled => 5/8x

when 10 liters is emptied it reaches half of its capacity

5/8x - 10 = 1/2x

moving 1/2 x to LHS and 10 to RHS

5/8x-1/2x = 10

x(5/8-1/2) = 10

x((5-4)/8)=10

x(1/8) = 10

send 1/8 to RHS

x = 80
