A wave in slinky travelled two and fro in 5 sec the length of the slinky is 5m. What is the velocity of wave?

As the wave moves to and fro so the total distance will be d=2x5=10 m

we have

time (t) = 5 s

hence velocity will be =2 m/s

given:-

distance = 5 m

time = 5s

As we know that the formula for the velocity of wave  

v = 2d / t

velocity of wave= 2×5 /5

v = 2m/s

he velocity of wave is 2m/s.
