A wave length 500 nm having time period 2 milliseconds. Calculate it's frequency and speed.

 \Huge{\textsf{Answer}}

Given that,

Wave length (λ) = 500 nm = 0.00000050 m.

Time (t) = 2 milliseconds = 0.002 s.

To calculate,

Frequency = ?

Speed = ?

First of all, we'll calculate speed as it seems easy for us to calculate as speed is equal to distance divided by time.

Speed =  \frac{Distance}{time}

Speed =  \frac{0.00000050}{0.002}

Speed = 0.00025 m/s

Now, we'll calculate it's frequency. As we know frequency is equal to speed divided by lambda.

Frequency  (\nu) = \frac{speed\:(v)}{\lambda}

Frequency  (\nu) = \frac{0.00025}{0.00000050}

Frequency  (\nu) = 500 Hz

Therefore,

 \Huge{\boxed{\pink{Frequency=500\:Hz}}}

And,

 \Huge{\boxed{\purple{Speed=0.00025\:m/s}}}
