A wave pulse of frequency 100 Hz, on a string moves 8 m in O.02 s. calculate the velocity of the pulse and the wavelength​

We know that:

         velocity=frequency X wavelenght .........(i)

      & velocity=distance/time..........(ii)

Putting (i) and (ii) together we get:

    distance/time=frequency X wavelenght

     8/0.02=100*λ

    λ(waveleght)=8/2=4m

Velocity =100*4=400m/s

Therefore, velocity = 400m/s and wavelenght = 4m.
