diameter of candles = 1 cm A wax candle is 16cm long 3/2 cm diameter melted into 4 identical 9 cm long candles

Step-by-step explanation:

A wax candle is 16cm long and 3/2cm in diameter

Volume of candle = π R²H

R = 3/4 cm

H = 16 cm

Volume of candle =   π (3/4)²16

= 9 π  cm³

Melted and made into 4 identical candles each of which is 9cm long

Let say radius = r

Then Valoume of 4 candles = 4  * π r² 9

= 36  π r²

36  π r² = 9 π

=> r² = 1/4

=> r = 1/2

Diameter = 2 * r = 2 * 1/2 = 1 cm

diameter of these candles = 1 cm
