The percentage ionization of a weak mono basic acid of 0.025 M concentration is equal to 2%.

  • For a weak mono basic acid whose degree of ionization is small as compared to one, the degree of ionization is inversely proportional to the square root of the concentration.
  • Since its given that percentage ionization of the acid is 1% at 0.1 M , the percentage ionization of the acid at 0.025 M is given by \sqrt{\frac{0.1}{0.025} } ×1 , which is equal to 2%.
