Economy, asked by TbiaSamishta, 1 year ago

A weaver community facing virtual unemployment has been identified in Sonipur district, Rachakwara . This community of weavers specialize in hand-woven cane and bamboo baskets and mats. Earlier they sold their products directly to customers through seasonal markets and roadside establishments. However, in the past few years, machine-made baskets and mats, sold at a lower price, have virtually driven their relatively costlier products out of the market. Demand is so insufficient that they are forced to sell their products at prices too low to cover the constantly rising cost of raw materials, leaving them with practically no income. Skilled mainly in the art of weaving, they find it hard to find employment in other sectors. Left with no alternate source of income, this dwindling craft has left them and their families in near penury, propose an entrepreneurial venture to get them back on their feet by harnessing their potential and existing skills.?

HI , FRIEND.
I HOPE THAT , I AM ABLE TO HELP YOU
As the family is facing poverty and is having practically no income, they can find any other source of earnings. They could also sell the raw materials in the city or make something creative out of the raw materials by making different types of weaving things and materials. The family members can get engaged in different types of work and can approach to a government campaign or can get applied with a government policy
THANK YOU

The best way to bring back employment in the sector of art of weaving is by respecting their potential and giving them equal opportunities.

We should ban Chinese products from places like Delhi Haat and promote more of weaved products and ethnic stuff over there. This would help them revive their incomes.
