Velocity of centre of mass

V(com)  = m(wagon) × v(wagon) + m(man) ×v(man) / [m(wagon)+m(man)]

V(com) = (200)(2)+(80)(V) / 280=0

⇒V = −5 m/s

v --> man= v --> man,wagon + v --> wagon

v--> man,wagon = v --> man−v --> wagon

              = −5−2

               = −7 m/s

Hence the relative velocity of wagon and truck is  −7 m/s.
