A weight of a stone in air is 58 gf. When it is completely immersed in
water its weight is 52 gf.
Calculate:
(i) the upthurst
(ii) the volume of stone,
(iii) the relative density of solid​

upthrust = 58 - 52 = 6 = mass of water = volume of displaced water because density of water is 1

volume of solid is also 6.

mass of solid =58

Therefore density of solid = 58/6 = 9.7
