  • A well 3.5 m in diameter and 20 m deep.

  • A rectangular field of diension 20 m x 14 m.

\sf{\huge{\underline{\pink{To\:Find :-}}}}

  • The level of the earth raised in the field.

\sf{\huge{\underline{\purple{Solution :-}}}}

We have,

  • Diameter = 3.5

  • Radius = 1.75

  • Hieght = 20 m

Volume of earth taken out from well = volume of cylinder

➝ π r² h

➝ 3.14 × 1.75 × 1.75 × 20

➝ 5.495 × 1.75 × 20

➝ 9.62× 20

192.33 cm³

The area of field is 20 m x 14 m

280m²

The level of the earth raised in the field =

Volume of earth = 280 × h

➝ 192.33 = 280 × h

 \cancel{\dfrac{192.33}{280}} = h

➝ 0.687m

The level of the earth raised in the field is 0.687 m.
