Answer:

The height of the platform is 0.12 m.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : A well is dug 12 m deep and has a radius of 0.7m.The earth taken out is spread over a rectangular plot 11m by 14m to raise the ground.

To find : What is the height by which the ground is raised?

Solution :

Dimensions of Cylindrical well dug,

Height = 12m

Radius = 0.7m

Dimensions of a Cubiodal platform,

Length = 11m

Breadth = 14m

Let the height of the ground is h meter

According to question,

Volume of well dug = Volume of the platform

\pi r ^{2}H = l \times b \times h

\frac{22}{7}\times 0.7^2 \times 12= 11 \times 14 \times h

18.48= 154 \times h

h=\frac{18.48}{154}

h=0.12 m

Therefore, The height of the platform is 0.12 m.
