A well of diameter 140cm has a stone parapet around it.If the length of the outer edge of the parapet is 616cm,find the width of the parapet.

If diameter is 140cm ,
Then the radius will be D/2
$140 \div 2 = 70$
Now the circumference, of the whole circle =616cm
Then radius =
$616 \times 7 \div 44 = 98$
Now 98-70=28cm Ans
