Radius (r1) of the well = 3/2 m

Volume of earth dug= pi×r1^2×h

= 22/7×3/2×3/2×14

=99 m^3

Outer radius (r2) of the embankment =3/2+4

= 11/2 m

Area of the base of the embankment= pi(r2^2-r1^2)

= 22/7×112/4

= 22/7×28

=88m^2

Height of the embankment =

Volume of earth dig ÷area of the base

=99/88

=1.125 m
