Answer:

7392 / 726 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of the earth taken out = the volume of the well

Volume of the well = pi × r ×r × h

Volume of the earth taken out = 22/7 × 4 m ×4 m × 21 m

Volume of the earth taken out = 22 ×4 ×4 ×3 m^3

Volume of the earth taken out = 1056 m^3

Now the volume of the embankment

= Pi × (R^2 -r^2) × h

So height of the embankment

= Volume of embankment ÷ Pi × (R^2 - r^2)

= 1056 m^3 ÷ {22/7 × [(7 m)^2 - (4 m)^2]}

= 1056 m^3 ÷ [22/7 × (49 m^2 - 16 m^2)]

= 1056 m^3 ÷ [22/7 × 33 m^2]

= 1056 m^3 ÷ [726/7 m^2]

= 1056 m^3 × 7 / 726 m^2

= 7392 m^(3-2) /726

= 7392 / 726 m

Hope this helps you.
