let h be the required height of the embankment .

the shape of the embankment will be like the shape of a cylinder of internal radios 1.5 m and external radius (4+1.5) m = 5.5 m

the volume of the embankment will be equal to volume of earth dig out from the well .

now , the volume of earth = volume of cylinder well

= π×(1.5)^2×14 m^3

= 31.5πm^3

also ,the volume of embankment

π(5.5^2-1.5^2 )hm^3

π[5.5+1.5)(5.5-1.5 ) h m^3

hence,we have

28πh = 31.5π

h = 31.5 /28

h =1.125

hence prove
