A well of diameter 8m dug is dug out up to 7m. Calculate the volume of the earth dug out.

Answer

D = 8m

R = 8 ÷ 2 = 4 m

H = 7m

Volume of cylinder =

22÷7 × (4×4) × 7

22 × 16

= 352 sq.m

Therefore volume of earth dug is

352 sq.cm
