Answer:

Given, the diameter of the well (d) = 150 cm.

Therefore radius of well = 75 cm

Let radius and diameter of the parapet is R respectively.

Since, length of the outer edge of the parapet = 660 cm.

Therefore,

=>2 pi R = 660 cm

=>2R = 660 / pi

=> 2R=(660 x 7 )/22

=> R = 210/2 cm

Therefore,R = 105 D = 210 cm.

Now, width of the parapet = ( Radius of parapet - Radius of the well)

= (105 -75)

= 30 cm

Hence, width of the parapet is 30 cm.
