A well preserved body of a mountaineer was found buried under the snow in Himalayas on way to Mt. Everest. It is believed that the body had been lying there for more than 15 years. How do you think the body remained preserved for so long?

The reason for this is because the temperature at such mountains is too low for microbial growth on the body which decompose the body.
With no microbes present to decay the body the body remains preserved with not much decay. Even if there are some microbes present their activity will be very limited hence its very slow.
Hope this helps.
