GIVEN ; diameter - 10m , so radius = 5 m
height - 14m
therefore : volume of embankment is equal to volume of earth taken out :
πr2h =πr2h ( pie will get cancel )
r2h = r2h
(10)2=(5)2 × h ( 5+5 is 10 that is radius of embankment )
100 = 25 × h
h = 4 m
hope it will help u ....

here's ur answer i hope its correct
height of well =14m
radius of well=5m
volume of well= 22/7. 5. 5.14
1100cm^3
outer radius of embankment= 5+5=10m
inner radius of embankment=5m
since we know that the volume of hollow cylinder is pi( R^2 - r^2) h
therefore volume of well =volume of embankment
1100=22/7(100-25)h
7700/22=75h
350=75h
h=4.7 m
height of well =14m
radius of well=5m
volume of well= 22/7. 5. 5.14
1100cm^3
outer radius of embankment= 5+5=10m
inner radius of embankment=5m
since we know that the volume of hollow cylinder is pi( R^2 - r^2) h
therefore volume of well =volume of embankment
1100=22/7(100-25)h
7700/22=75h
350=75h
h=4.7 m
